Accounting Career Fair

You should plan on attending this event if you are looking for a co-op or full time position, and only if you are an accounting major. Time will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. reception from 3:00-4:00 in Fireside Lounge Student Alumni Union.

The dress code for Accounting Career Fair is business - not business casual!  Be sure to have plenty of copies of your résumé and a mental list of thoughtful questions for the organizations. The Accounting Career Fair is for accounting majors only.

What is the Accounting Career Fair?

The Accounting Career Fair is an annual event held at RIT in which local CPA firms, corporations and professional organizations are invited to attend a formal open house sponsored by NGA. This event provides the opportunity for recruiters from attending organizations to initially meet prospective employees from the pool of interested RIT students.

The Bonadio Group NYS Department of Taxation & Finance

This event provides an opportunity for RIT students to:

  • Hand out résumés
  • Gather information about hiring organizations
  • Ask specific and direct questions about firm opportunities and structures
  • Make initial contact with recruiters; many will be interviewing on campus in October
  • Practice connecting with professionals

Pre-registration for the Accounting Career Fair is mandatory.

You may pre-register at one of the two review sessions listed below. If you cannot make it to one of the sessions, please contact Maria Richart in Co-op & Career Services (mjroce@rit.edu).

Accounting Co-op Orientation & Career Fair Review Sessions

  • Friday, Sept. 9th from noon – 1:30 PM in Room 1115
  • Friday, Sept. 16th from noon – 1:30 PM in Room 1115
  • No need to sign up – just arrive at either one of  the two sessions
  • Maria Richart of Co-op & Career Services will be reviewing résumé tips, appropriate dress and general business etiquette that will ensure your success at Accounting Career Fair

Résumé Review Session

Monday, Sept. 19th from 9:00 AM – noon & 1:00 to 4:00pm in Bausch and Lomb Building #77 no appointments just come with your résumé to be reviewed. This is not an orientation session.
