While it can be argued that networking with others is important at all times,it is especially important during an economic recession, according to graduate students from the E. Philip Saunders College of Business at RIT who are members of the college’s Graduate Management Association (GMA).

The GMA, its students, and its activities were recently featured in an article in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle newspaper.

According to the article, “The group’s goal is to increase networking opportunities for students through involvement in outside networking groups, community service efforts, and club sponsored events. Participation in these events is not only for the purpose of increasing contacts in the Rochester business community, but also to create a more cohesive learning environment within the E. Philip Saunders College of Business.”

The GMA is a graduate student run organization based out of the E. Philip Saunders College of Business @ RIT. The group’s goal is to increase networking opportunities for students through involvement in outside networking groups, community service efforts, and club sponsored events. Participation in these events is not only for the purpose of increasing contacts in the Rochester business community, but also to create a more cohesive learning environment within the E.
